Form of workA kind and loving family in Bondi Junction are seeking a calm and nurturing nanny to care for their happy and energetic 4yr old boy.
The family do have 2 other children though the care will mostly be for the 4 yr old boy.
The days and normal hours are:- 5 days – 15+ hours
Monday to Friday 3pm - 6pm
Potentially for more hours on Saturdays if the nanny is available. Also more hours available in the school holidays.
An ideal nanny would be nurturing, calm, happy and friendly.
A nanny that loves the outdoors, is open to engaging and having fun and providing stimulating activities which will aid in the child’s development.
A nanny who is reliable, responsible, respectful and honest and can follow routines.
Experience working with children with epilepsy and or have training in speech or OT would be advantageous for this role.
The role will consist of picking the child up from daycare, taking him to an activity or to the park then home to assist with the evening routines (play, bath, dinner & getting the child ready for bed, reading a book) and contributing to the smooth running of the household.
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –
- To care for the child- Occasionally the older 8 year old as well
- Follow afternoon/evening routines
- Play and engage with the child
- Preschool and afterschool care pick up
- Homework and Read a book
- Preparation of meals and snacks for the child and sometimes help with family meal prep
- Assist with some light household duties -Generally keeping main areas clean and tidy and putting toys away
- Grocery shopping and run errands (occasionally)
The family’s expectations from their nanny are –
- 3 years experience working as a nanny or in childcare
- OT or Speech Therapy knowledge/training (preferred)
- Childcare qualification (preferred)
- Have a current first aid certificate and knowledge of epilepsy
- Have a current working with children’s check number
- Display strong communication skills and speak English.
- To be fit, healthy and active
- Non smoking/vaping
- Full drivers licence, confident driver and clean driving record (own car required, kms and petrol to be reimbursed).
