We are a busy bookkeeping firm, located in Kelmscott, seeking a Bookkeeper Assistant/Data Entry Clerk due to business growth. This position is ideally suited to someone who understands a variety and diverse range of clients and has a high attention to detail.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Assisting the bookkeeper in maintaining all financial transactions of a business.
- Preparing and recording day-to-day transactions of a business.
- Processing, preparing and recording invoices and vendor bills.
- Assist and support bookkeeper in preparing and maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable records.
- Verify, ascertain and determine the correctness of financial data.
To be successful for this position, the applicant will ideally possess the following:
- Knowledge of accounting principals.
- High attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate to high Microsoft Office knowledge, particularly in excel.
- Honest and Reliable.
- Ability to multi-task.
While experience in Xero/MYOB/Reckon or other accounting programs is not essential it is highly desirable.
This position is initially for 30 hours per week, days and hours negotiable. Consideration is given to those wishing to work between school hours.
