ABOUT THE ROLE: 

ABI Services is presently seeking a dynamic and driven individual who can ensure the accuracy of our accounts, manage payroll for our team, offer support in financial administration, and provide management with comprehensive reports.                                                  

The Bookkeeper/ Payroll position is a Permanent Part-Time Position, 4 days/week: Tuesday - Friday based at our Sydney office in Auburn NSW 2144. The hours are from 7.30am - 3.30pm OR 8.00am - 4.00pm.

The Bookkeeper/Payroll will work within the Accounts Team of ABI Services, they will work in conjunction with other management team members ensuring effective service delivery and efficient administration operations and procedural compliance are met for the organisation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Efficient processing of payroll transactions
  • Handling Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Preparation of BAS, IAS, and payroll taxes
  • Finalizing monthly accounts and presenting financial reports to the board
  • Annual preparation for auditors
  • Accurate recording of financial transactions
  • Timely generation of invoices and payment processing
  • Organization of financial records and documentation
  • Resolution of payroll discrepancies and inquiries
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures regarding payroll operations
  • Proficiency in MYOB/AccountRight, especially in payroll and accounts management
  • Familiarity with data import/export between CRM and payroll systems
  • General administrative and office tasks

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma or tertiary qualification relevant to the role
  • Previous experience in a relevant industry or service (experience in Not-For-Profit/Disability Sector preferred but not mandatory)
  • Experience in accounts receivable/payable (MYOB) desirable.
  • Ability to interpret awards and relevant legislation desirable.

  • Proficiency in importing and exporting data.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong procedural and processing skills
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Advanced numerical skills in reconciliation and statistics
  • Efficient data entry skills
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation compliance and processes
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Initiative and ability to work independently or in a team.

  • NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC)
  • Up to date COVID19 Vaccination Certificate (Normally 2 vaccinations + Booster)
