We are a Commercial Maintenance Plumbing company based in Everton Park Brisbane and are looking for a Part Time Bookkeeper.

This role is office based. casual for 20 hours a week with potential to increase over time. A period of 3 months' probation applies starting from date of commencement.
Position Purpose
Our bookkeeper will be an integral member of the team, assisting with the smooth running of the company. This is a varied role that would include client interaction, admin tasks and by providing skilled and efficient delivery of bookkeeping tasks for the company.
Key Accountabilities
Ensure team members can focus on client needs by providing comprehensive bookkeeping services and deliver outstanding client service including, but not limited to:
- Attend to updating the Xero file for all bank transactions and keep this up to date.
- Attend to payroll function, including processing of wages and superannuation.
- Liaising with clients
- Upload supplier invoices into relevant software platforms.
- Manage payments for all supplier invoices, including bank uploads.
- Manage debtor & creditor invoice-related queries from clients.
- Reconcile bank/loan/credit card/hire purchase payments.
- Manage and report on leave entitlements and balances.
- Invoice reconciliation of job entries to ensure all invoices have been issued.
- Budget reporting, Any Other tasks as required.
- Contribute to the profitability of the business.
- Display an excellent level of moral behavior.
- Oversee debt Collection
- Monthly account reconciliations - Bank / Debtors / Creditors etc.
Success Profile
- Relevant qualifications and experience in Bookkeeping/Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
- At least 3-5 years relevant experience in a professional services environment (preferably Accounting) at a similar level.
- Strong working knowledge of Xero, and Excel
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Systematic and organized approach to work with strong attention to detail.
- Meet deadlines and communicate delays/issues with manager in advance of deadline.
- Respond positively and quickly to client and team member requests.
- Demonstrate excellent listening skills and express opinions clearly and logically with excellent verbal and written communication.
- Develop positive, professional relationships internally and externally.
- Willingness to help others, demonstrate initiative, is honest and trustworthy.
