We are a family owned and operated liquor store who are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has a passion for buying and selling liquor in the retail space. Our Thirsty Camel Bottleshop is a busy, fun, quirky and locally minded retail environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks depending on the priority
- Strong communication skills
- Strong knowledge of products relevant to the retail liquor market with a focus on local products
- Sound computer skills, H&L System experience would be an advantage
- Well-presented and professional at all times
- Stock management including invoice checking, stocktakes & stock rotation
Reporting to the General Manger your role will include,
- Performing general retail bottle shop duties such as customer service, stocking shelves, receiving orders & ticketing
- Entering new products in the POS system including accurate pricing & ranging
- Assisting with rostering of staff in an efficient, productive and cost effective manner
- Weekly ordering with a range of suppliers
- Able to build and maintain effective relationships with new and existing suppliers
- Be accurate and efficient with cash handling and till balances
- Managing store presentation & promotions from floor stacks to fridge lay-outs, displays & improving store presentation
- Communicate positively with team members and suppliers
- Managing, leading and training staff
- Ensure store is always merchandised and presented to a high standard
- General bottle shop duties including putting away stock, filling fridges and maintaining store cleanliness
- Keep up to date with current and future market & community trends with a focus on driving sales
- Able to implement a high quality customer service program
- Able to manage, pack and send out online orders
- Roster over a 7 day period including nights, weekends and public holidays

- Responsible Serving of Alcohol
- Tasmanian Manual Drivers Licence
