The Hobart and Launceston LTS branches provide a variety of unique services to the Tasmanian community, which include the paintback partnership, grease trap pump outs, waste packaged chemical collections and processing.

The opportunity

As the Hobart and Launceston LTS branches provide unique services, there is significant opportunity to strengthen and grow the local business. You will have the full support of the larger Cleanaway business on the mainland, including many other branches with leaders that will be your peers.

Both branches need a leader with a broad range of skills but to start with need particular support in sales growth.

Additionally, you will be responsible for:

  • Coaching, mentoring, and leading your two existing adminstration and operational leaders, and their team of three driver operators
  • Directing the local business, including setting, and delivering P&L targets
  • Leading sales and revenue growth in Tasmania, with the full support of a dedicated and experienced sales leader based on the mainland
  • Pricing strategy
  • Financial forecasting and analysis, with the full support of a finance leader on the mainland
  • Leading operational improvements
  • Driving a safe, diverse, and environmentally sustainable culture

About you

You are an enthusiastic and engaged leader who is passionate and driven to achieve a passionate, respectful, and high performing team and associated P&L performance. To be successful in this role you will possess

  • Proven leadership experience
  • Established success in sales
  • A high level of commercial acumen and numeracy
  • The ability to learn quickly and solve problems
  • A tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
  • Exposure to the waste industry, chemical industry, and/or industrial chemicals
  • An understanding of industrial operations including heavy vehicles
