Midland Irrigation is one of Victoria’s largest privately owned pumping, irrigation and water management companies. We are seeking an experienced, driven and professional person to manage our Kyneton branch.
With stores located in Bendigo, Ballarat, Kyneton & Warrnambool this role will work closely alongside the Operations Manager, other Branch Managers, key Midland personnel and key suppliers.

You will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction are maintained within your store. At Midland Irrigation we “go the extra mile” and the successful candidate will bring this attitude to all that they do.
The role reports to the Operations Manager and involves day to day running of the Kyneton store including the motivation and development of your staff to ensure our commitment to our clients is maintained at all times. The role is responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Promoting a happy and safe work environment
- Positive promotion of the company brand at all times
- Generating a healthy profit
- Preparation of reports, including annual & monthly forecasting for approval by the Managing Director
- Managing team performance to targets set by the Managing Director
- Contributing ideas and experience to inform the marketing and promotion of Midland Irrigation
- Managing the design, supply and install aspects of the Kyneton business
- Maintaining a consistent call cycle for new & existing clients
- Exceptional service delivery
- Awareness of and compliance with OH &S regulations and requirements
- Stock Control
We are looking for someone who is an all-rounder with the right attitude. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to both take and give direction is essential. You like working autonomously but also understand the importance of working as part of a team. Ideally you are self-motivated and show a preparedness to learn and understand. You show initiative to recognise and seize opportunities for improvement. Ideally you will have:
- A proven track record in sales, business management and development
- Excellent verbal and written communication and people management skills
- Very sound computer literacy
- The ability to lead by example in a dynamic, results orientated team
- A high level of professional conduct
- The capacity to understand the culture and build the confidence of a high performing business
