In this role you will lead the team to achieve compliance, safety, service, cost efficiency and continuous improvement objectives aligned with both customer and internal standards. You will also be responsible for the financial performance of the operation and must effectively manage the weekly P&L to achieve the financial plans for the site. Key areas:
- Promoting a safety-first culture ensuring commitment to safety, chain of responsibility and quality requirements.
- Provide commercial leadership with overall P&L responsibility for a significant portfolio of accounts ensuring service delivery is in line with contractual requirements.
- Effective management and development of a direct reports and wider workforce across geographically diverse operations.
- Proactive management of customer relationships facilitating growth through new customer integration and organic growth of existing accounts.
- Develop operating budgets and direct teams to effectively analyse equipment and operational tasks to deliver productive outcomes through resource utilization, route optimization and subcontractor management.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote continuous improvement.
- Expertise in logistics management, with an emphasis on Road /Rail Operations.
- Proficient understanding of industrial instruments, coupled with in depth understanding of P&L/budgetary procedures.
- Strong communication skills adaptable to various audiences, coupled with influencing skills and a customer-centric approach.
- Sound IT proficiency and financial acumen, complemented by a track record in overseeing Branch operations and engaging multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office (PPT, Word & Excel).
