This is a permanent part-time position for 32 hours per fortnight.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our dedicated and supportive team. You work alongside another BCN, being responsible for applying advanced knowledge and skills to facilitate the continuity and quality of care for patients diagnosed with Breast Cancer and their families.

You will act as a key hospital resource for promoting best practice in the provision of patient care through clinical improvement initiatives and service innovation.

In this role, you will report to and work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and care coordination team.

About You

To succeed in this role you will demonstrate a high level of critical thinking and problem solving within a clinical setting. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work efficiently within a supported team and independently as required.

You will also demonstrate:

• Current registration with APHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Oncology
• Completion of Certified Breast Care nurse course i.e. McGrath or equivalent
• Ability to act as a positive role model with excellent communication skills
• Demonstrate excellent time management, clinical problem solving and organisational skills
• Exceptional customer service and strong communication skills

Remuneration

On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $55.07 - $59.25 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements

• Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
