Find out more about us and our purpose.Your OpportunityLocated in Orange NSW, the AOD Support Worker will provide coordinated care and psychosocial support to individuals who are engaged in clinical substance use treatment. You will engage in providing case management and case co-ordination to individuals with drug and alcohol needs including housing, parenting and family support, income, and employment. You will be required to be creative in addressing issues and challenges that are faced by participants to achieve the desired outcomes.Your key responsibilities will be to:Respond to referrals of clients to the service from internal and external support services.Conduct intake assessments of suitability for supportMaintain relationships with key stakeholders including clinical drug and alcohol treatment services including Western Local Health District and Non-Government ProvidersWork with clients to create individualized support plans addressing psychosocial needs.Provide ongoing case management sessions with clients and review progression.Assist clients in the process of transition out of the service into the community.Requirements for SuccessQualifications in Drug and Alcohol and /or Community Services or Case ManagementExperience providing Case Management to individuals with complex needs.Understanding of substance use disorders and mental illness.Current NSW driver’s licenseBefore starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.Our cultureOur innovative and inclusive culture will ensure you feel valued at Mission Australia as you help Australians in need and develop in your career.We prioritize the safety and wellbeing of everyone, both within our team and the individuals we serve.We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive working environment.
