Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Bridge Structure/Bridge Engineer located in Port Kembla, NSW, with a focus on day-to-day tasks associated with bridge engineering, including analysing and designing new bridges, inspections of bridge structures, and ensuring all necessary safety measures are implemented.

• Design and evaluate bridge structures for safety and durability.
• Conduct site visits to inspect existing bridges and assess maintenance needs.
• Determine appropriate materials and construction methods for bridge projects.
• Collaborate with other engineers and architects on project design and planning.
• Develop and manage project timelines and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with local and national building codes and regulations.
• Create and review project specifications and construction drawings.
• Supervise construction crews and contractors to ensure project goals are met
• Conduct safety inspections during and after construction
• Provide technical support and advice to other professionals involved in bridge construction projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Sound knowledge of structural engineering software, particularly for bridge design.
• Experience in working on large civil/infrastructure projects (bridges, rail, and roads) will be highly regarded.
• Proven ability to handle multiple high-profile and complex projects simultaneously.
• Excellent time management skills, ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
