A Hybrid working model

Now offices are fully open we have embraced a hybrid working model, which allows our employees to split their time between the office and other locations, something we hope will provide everyone much more flexibility to their working week. The expectation is that for most people, working life at Hogarth will involve working from office (Hogarth or partner agency) for up to 3 days per week.

What you’ll do

The Broadcast Producer is a critical role, representing the Hogarth business and collaborating closely with the Ogilvy Melbourne team in the delivery of world-class creative and omni-channel outputs for broadcast and integrated campaigns.

Working closely with Ogilvy agency stakeholders, particularly Creative and Client Management depts, you’ll be managing internal and external timelines, expectations, and task prioritisation at a campaign project level.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring production workflows are properly defined and adhered to, while maintaining high levels of communication and ensuring high production values at all times.

You’ll be passionate about the advertising and content world, and take pride in ensuring projects are produced to a high creative standard and are delivered both on time and within agreed budget.

Reporting lines

This role reports to the Executive Producer, and will be based in Melbourne.

Key capabilities:

  • Good understanding of production processes, have a sound working knowledge of all the various roles, functions, capabilities, equipment, and applications within the Broadcast/Content Production area.
  • Strong financial acumen to cost based on brief, balance, and reconcile production budgets
  • Understand creative requirements for each project brief (tone of film / images, visual style, music and audio)
  • Ballparking and scheduling of creative concepts and advise on qualification and suitability.
  • Understanding of production company processes, including Bid/Propose, reviews, and negotiation of production estimates and treatments.
  • Managing briefings with the client/agency, creating estimates, scheduling documentation, tracking costs and project progress.
  • Provide timely notification to the team on changes to budget and/or schedule.
  • Be responsible for checking that all material needed to undertake a job has been requested and is on the system in the correct place.
  • Check and sign off invoices before going to client/agency/finance and managing regular updates of ongoing project timings & costs sts.
  • An understanding of standard broadcast technologies and implications for the post-production process.
  • Managing multiple projects as needed.

What you’ll likely bring

  • 3-4 years experience as a Broadcast Producer in creative agency environments, or an Integrated Producer role that’s had strong exposure to broadcast production work
  • First-rate project management skills with an ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Expertise in internal and external people and stakeholder management, forward planning, and relentlessly solutions-focused.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, loads of initiative and motivation to learn new tools
  • To be eager to grow and expand your production skills
  • Passion for following robust Production processes with the aim of delivering all your projects on time, on budget, and to the highest production value possible for the scope of the project.
  • Strong creative problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Experience with workflow management tools
