You will report into our Maintenance Supervisor and will be responsible for the maintenance of site plant and equipment to a high standard,  which will enable maximum production levels to be sustained at our Narooma Site.
 
   Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Both breakdown and preventative maintenance of site plant equipment including saw mill components and other relevant machinery.
• The use of sound judgement when making decisions regarding maintenance with due regard to employee health and safety.
• Working to ensure that any breakdown time is as short as possible, this may involve both quick fixes to ensure production is maintained and conducting thorough repairs between shifts.
• Ensuring that good housekeeping standards are continually maintained.

  

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A qualification in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or other relevant field is essential.
• Experience as a Maintenance Fitter working within a production environment is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety issues and a high regard for employee safety.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with other fitters, supervisors and other key stakeholder.
• Self-motivated with drive and commitment to complete work to a high standard.
• Willingness to adapt to changes for continuous improvement in processes.
