AddressOn behalf of our client, Chevron Australia, a World Leading Integrated Energy Company, Brunel is presently sourcing a Brownfield Project Controls Analyst for a 6 month contract to commence as soon as possible, located in their ‘start of the art’ Perth CBD office.
Working within the Brownfield Cost Engineering Team, you will be responsible for:
- Implement cost control, cost risk, contingency and CEMOC procedures, processes and standards
- Collaborate with Planning to implement Work (WBS), Organisational Breakdown Structures (OBS) and linkage of these to Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) for the selected work scopes
- Advise/guide Technical Projects Teams in cost, cost trending, cost risk activities to ensure the work scopes meets or betters the approved targets and requirements
- Articulate cost issues; proposes preventative or mitigation measures for selected work scopes
- Review, validate and challenge Contractors’ contract costs, cost risks and opportunities, trendsParticipate in benchmarking, incorporation of lessons learned and establish cost Competitive Performance targets for selected work scopes
- Responsible for the maintenance of the Brownfield Projects cost system and associated reporting for selected work scopes
- Independently identifies and works with interfaces and stakeholders to identify and resolve issues for selected work scopes
- Assess and coordinate cost impact for Management of Change requests for nominated work scope in line with change management procedures
- Work with Planning and Scheduling on progress and performance measurement, monitoring and analysis for selected work scopes
- Coordinate benchmarking, incorporation of lessons learned and establish comparators to reference projects for selected work scopes
- Generates cost reports including variance and trending as required
- Develop, implement and enable continuous improvement of standardised, repeatable and consistent Cost processes, playbooks and digital analytic tools to enhance cost engineering methods
- Communicate with stakeholders (eg Planning, Finance, SCM) to ensure aligned system data across multiple areas/systems
- Assist with Business Planning updates on expenditure including the yearly BP cycle, monthly reporting
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing Project Controls deliverables across all phases of Brownfield Projects, particularly cost control, cost analysis, trending, cost risk, contingency, cost engineering management of change, performance measurement and assessment, forecasting and project status reporting
- Ability to analyse, breakdown and interpret complex data to identify opportunities and form recommendations. Leverages on data and digital tools to drive simplification/efficiency efforts, to aid in decision-making and effectively engage the business
- Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse team including management personnel and be an influencer
- Demonstrated ability to build consensus and work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams to contribute to high-class business results
