About the Role
* Support the Management Accounting Team and Finance Manager in maintaining management accounting information systems to ensure reliable and accurate financial and statistical information is recorded to enable effective decision-making and to comply with the provisions of the Financial Administration and Audit Act and prescribed requirements.
* Assist in monitoring and reporting on variations in expenditure, revenue, FTE and activity, which affect budgetary performance and activity targets, assist in finalisation of monthly division and cost centre reporting as well as provide advice on remedial action as appropriate.
* Assist with the development and delivery of informal training sessions, presentations, and information sessions to develop expertise, compliance and an understanding of Metro South Health and Department of Health's financial management policies, procedures, and protocols.
* Ensure required transactions and journals (including VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) coding, goods receipting, JMAN, revenue, expense and inter-district journals) are performed to maintain General Ledger and overall financial system integrity.
