Building Condition Assessor

IPA require experienced Condition Assessors for our client to assist with their current projects within Central QLD.
The role will be based from Rockhampton and will require travel out to sites within Central Queensland. Therefore, applicants will need to be able to travel. Travel may be Monday - Friday, or on occasion could be working away for 14 days, working 6 days / week.
The successful candidates will be employed on a Labour Hire basis with IPA. The role is full time hours, 5-6 days/week. An attractive rate + penalties is on offer which will be discussed at the interview stages.
A work vehicle, accommodation and meals/allowances will be supplied.
The duties of the role will include:

• Completing condition assessments, including inspections/surveys of building elements and construction materials.
• Development of maintenance programs.

• Identifying building related maintenance and environmental risks.
• Maintaining an up to date knowledge and understanding of relevant Codes of Practice and legislative requirements.
• Maintaining strong professional relationships with clients.
• Complying and promoting a positive, safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience with condition assessment - essential
• Ability to assess and determine the condition and lifecycle of all aspects of housing construction from building, painting, plumbing, mechanical, electrical etc.
• C Class Driver Licence - essential
• Good intermediate computer skills - essential

We're looking for candidates who have trade backgrounds within Building/Construction. Experience with building assessments, building inspections and estimating will be highly regarded.
