Qualifications and Requirements:

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and meet specific requirements:

  • Current Qualifications: Hold current qualifications in building and construction, including the RII60520 - Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design or an equivalent qualification.
  • Teaching Qualifications: Possess the TAE 40116 or TAE 40122 qualification, demonstrating expertise in training and assessment.
  • Industry Experience: Have a recent and relevant background in the building and construction industry, with a minimum of 1-3 years of practical experience.
  • Computer Skills: Strong computer skills are essential, and experience in using virtual platforms for teaching and assessment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

As a Construction Trainer & Assessor at Opulence College, your responsibilities will include:

  • Curriculum Delivery: Develop and deliver industry-relevant training programs in building and construction, utilizing virtual platforms effectively. Collaborating with our curriculum development team to ensure course content remains up-to-date and relevant.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct assessments using virtual tools to evaluate students' understanding and skills, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey. Assessing students' progress and skills through a variety of methods, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
  • Industry Integration: Foster connections with industry professionals to stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Classroom Management: Create an engaging and inclusive virtual learning environment, managing online classrooms effectively to promote student success. Maintaining accurate records of student assessments, attendance, and overall performance.
  • Professional Development: Stay abreast of advancements in construction practices, safety standards, and virtual teaching methodologies through ongoing professional development. Staying updated on current business trends and incorporating them into your teaching approach.
