Qualifications & experience
- Formal qualifications and training in Landscape Architecture / playground design is preferred but not compulsory.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience preferred.
- Experience with design programs including Adobe Suite, Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD 2D, and 3D design programs (preferably Revit).
- Excellent written and communication skills, and high attention to detail, with the ability to absorb, adapt and convert information provided by internal and external stakeholders.
- A solid understanding of specific construction materials, methodology, techniques tools and equipment essential to the role (or a keen interest to learn).
- Display professional behaviour, be a team player and a good role model, with a positive and hard working attitude.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Report to the Design Manager, design and deliver playground and/or play equipment (and play towers) designs from concept through to shop drawings.
- Liaise with engineer and playground safety auditor to incorporate feedback into the designs, and ensure designs comply with AS4685 and other relevant standards.
- Allocate time efficiently and effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
- May be asked to assist with basic contract administration, quoting and proposals as required.
- Participate in internal workshops, discussions and meetings to identify and deliver their project requirements.
