The Mapoon Aboriginal Shire Council provides a range of services to the remote community of Mapoon and surrounding geographical region. The area stretches from the southern bank of the Skardon River down to the northern banks of the Pennefather River.

The Position
The Building Supervisor's primary objective is to deliver quality construction projects in an efficient, effective and timely manner within time and budgetary constraints.
This is a fixed-term position for 2 years.
This position is based in Mapoon.
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role you will require:
- Relevant Building Trade Qualification
- Current Manual Drivers Licence
- White Card
- At least three years experience managing projects, including multi-tasking and coordinating multiple projects at one time.
- Sound understanding of technical drawings, construction methods standards and how they are applied
- Experience undertaking and coordinating building repairs and maintenance
- Ability to lead others in the completion of a schedule and budget timeframes
- Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
