Building Supervisor

J G King Homes, Victoria's largest builder of Steel Frame homes, is seeking an energetic & highly motivated individual to join our Horsham team.

With the unprecedented growth in the Horsham area, we are looking to expand the JG King family.

The Building Supervisor/Carpenter will report to the Area Manager.   This hands on, Full-Time position will operate all aspects of Building & Construction.

Duties Include

• Supervising all construction related activities;
• Ensuring all trades meet quality and OHS&E standards
• Manage schedule & coordinate the construction of homes 
• Ensure the proper completion of maintenance in conjunction with Office Administrators
• Ensure a safe working environment on all site following OHS & E practices;
• Effectively ensure the client company relationship is maintained at all times

Skills

• Display high level of professionalism, maturity & customer service
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Microsoft Office Suite skills including usage of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook;
• A sound knowledge of the volume home building industry in Victoria
• High level of time management & organisational skills;
• The completion of trade qualification (preferred); and
• Proven experience as carpenter
• Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
• A current driver's license & ability to undertake travel as required
