Form of workAllied Express Australia's largest independently owned courier, taxi truck and express freight company is currently looking for a highly motivated Bulky Freight Handler for our express freight operations based in Forrestfield Depot.
We require:
An experienced Freight handler to work on our full time role commencing at 7am - 3:30pm , Monday to Friday.
- You will be responsible in the following tasks:
- Unloading/loading of trucks, trailers & containers
- Operating a counterbalance forklift with long-tines
- Live loading
- Loading interstate linehaul trailers with time constraints.
- Load restraint/safe loading (strapping)
- Staging freight around warehouse
- RF scanning
- General warehouse duties
- May be required to handle freight manually
To be successful in this role previous experience and skills must include:
- Forklift experience required & the ability/right to work 40 hrs per week
- Prior experience on a forklift loading trailers (drop decks, b-double trailers)
- Physically fit
- Previous experience in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attitude towards safety and well being
- Medical assessment and police check must be completed
- Adhere to safe work practices and procedures
- Be prepared to perform Manual Handling Tasks
- COVID vaccinations must be up to date
