Raytheon Australia is delivering education and job opportunities for Exmouth youth, and we have an exciting opportunity for you to gain on the job experience while obtaining an industry recognised qualification.
We are currently seeking a motivated high school student, over the age of 15, with an interest in business to join our team located at the Naval Communications Station Harold E Holt (NCS HEH) in Exmouth WA.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain skills working with defence industry professionals within one of the nation’s leading defence technology companies where you will grow within a team and receive career development opportunities.
The successful candidate will work one day a week, around your school commitments.
You will have ongoing support from an Australian Apprenticeship Network provider and a professional mentoring from the Raytheon Australia team.

This role is a traineeship with access to onsite training and upon completion of this traineeship, including theoretical training modules, you will gain a nationally recognised Certificate III in Business.
The successful candidate will also be paid for their time spent on the job training at NCSHEH.

The role requirements – Certificate III in Business Traineeship:
Follow instructions from supervisors
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills when liaising with stakeholders
Document management including filing and maintaining records
Develop and maintain Microsoft Word and Excel documents
Maintain confidentiality
Maintain safe working practices and adhere to safety regulations including wearing correct PPE
Key Selection Criteria
Our ideal candidate will be friendly and motivated and work well in a team environment. You should have a strong work ethic, a thirst for knowledge, as well as:
C grades in Year 10 English and Maths or equivalent
Be over the age of 15 on commencement of traineeship
Have attention to detail
Be able to follow instructions and processes
Have excellent verbal communication skills
Be reliable and punctual
Ability to commit a traineeship through the remainder of high school
Successful applicants will be required to pass an aptitude test, and a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.
The successful candidate will also require support and approval from their parents to participate in this opportunity.
The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 Australia Government Security Clearance.
