We are not just looking for an experienced CA or CPA qualified accountant to join our team, but someone who has a passion for small business consulting as well. Our employees become ingrained in their clients' businesses and function more as a CFO as opposed to an accountant.  

This is a very flexible part-time role starting around 5-10hrs per week and growing from there. You will work predominantly your home office, and do your own hours. Perfect for an early riser, someone that can only work school hours or someone that prefers to work at night.

The role will include:

• Advising small business clients on all parts of their business in a 'Virtual CFO' capacity. 
• Managing a small team of highly motivated and competent business analysts
• Regular meeting and speaking with clients, assisting them with budgeting and forecasting and other business related issues.
• Review of compliance work prepared by the team including BAS's, Superannuation, Annual Accounts, management reports, etc.

The successful applicant will have:

Essential attributes

• Excellent Xero experience across a range of businesses.
• Strong Accounting and bookkeeping knowledge.
• Solid administration, organisational and problem solving skills.
• Comfortable liaising and speaking with clients and employees on a regular basis
• Ability to work independently from home and manage clients expectations.
• Manage internal budget requirements across multiple different clients.
• Most importantly, can ‘think outside the box’.

Desirable attributes

• Have or working towards CA or CPA qualifications 
• Have had 5+ years working as an accountant 
• Have had experience in managing a team
