How will I help?
As a Business Analyst, you will collaborate with various Lines of Business and Digital Delivery teams to implement new or enhanced capabilities across Westpac’s Digital Banking Platforms.
You will be part of Westpac’s Consumer Banking, Chief Digital Office, working towards our mission of providing customers with the best digital bank in their pocket. You will drive the achievement of this by leading the definition, elicitation, prioritisation and validation of requirements and design of business processes to meet the needs of the organisation. You will also maintain effective engagement with Product Owners, team members, and stakeholders ensuring that the recommended solution is aligned to the targeted business outcomes.
What will I be responsible for?
- Plan how to approach the business analysis effort
- Identify the business needs through problem/opportunity definition and analysis; define feasible solution scope
- Manage and maintain requirements through changes, conflicts, and issues
- Work with stakeholders to elicit requirements and understand stakeholder needs and concerns; collaborate and communicate with business units and project teams
- Work with the delivery team to create appropriate user stories and acceptance criteria that ensure the expected outcome at the end of development
- Define, refine, prioritise, and organise requirements; model requirements, processes, and designs
- Assess and validate proposed, in progress and implemented solutions
- Ensure that Risks, Assumptions, and Dependencies are captured and managed in accordance with Business Controls & Monitoring framework
- Contribute to the Digital Agile Delivery sub chapter activities and learning within the BA community to grow capability within Digital
- Bridging the gap between business needs and technology capabilities
What do I need?
- Experience within Digital projects essential
- Strong communication skills to comfortably deal with, and influence stakeholders
- Experience in Agile methodology and tools such as JIRA and Confluence required
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and ceremonies
- Ability to analyse data standards and develop clear requirements and comprehensive user stories for API, information security, and authorisation development
- Experience in Banking or Financial Services Industry preferred
