Are you an experienced Business Analyst specialising in Data Privacy looking to join an innovative team? There is an opportunity to be a part of an ASX-listed business dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of Data Privacy and protection for their clients and customers. They are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join their Data Privacy Program team. This role is instrumental in driving efforts to enhance the Data Privacy frameworks and ensure processes are aligned with regulatory requirements and best practices.
The Role
As a Business Analyst in the Data Privacy Program, you will play a pivotal role in analysing business processes, identifying data protection needs, and implementing solutions that safeguard information across the business . You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, Legal, and Compliance, to ensure the data handling practices adhere to legislation and standards. Your expertise will help to not only to comply with legal requirements but also to foster a culture of privacy by design and default throughout the organisation.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct comprehensive requirements gathering and analysis to understand and document data flows, processing activities, and privacy implications within the organisation.
- Work with stakeholders to identify and assess Data Privacy risks and compliance gaps in current processes and systems.
- Develop and propose enhancements or remediation measures to ensure Data Privacy and protection controls are integrated into business processes.
- Collaborate with the IT department to ensure technology solutions are in alignment with Data Privacy principles and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the monitoring and auditing of Data Privacy practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Keep abreast of changes and developments in data protection laws and regulations, and advise on their potential impact on the business.
Your Profile
To thrive in this role, ideally you should:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong experience in Data Privacy.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Familiarity with data protection laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex information and make recommendations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high quality and accuracy.
