About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Configuration Specialist/Business Analyst with a Public Safety background or experience. The role will also provide assistance with customer/production support and implement change requests to cater for projects' needs. Sustain existing systems using best practices and tools through code and configuration changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement detailed and complex change request - code and configuration.
- Test detailed and complex software code developed by peers when required.
- Work with QA team for testing and resolving defects.
- Develop integration and unit tests.
- Assist with assessing requirements for change requests.
- Provide production support when required.
- Review code work for accuracy and functionality.
- Supervise and train new team members.
- Strong application support and systems analysis background.
- Understanding of Microsoft Server technologies
- 5+ years' experience in customer facing technical Configuration Analyst role.
- MS SQL Server administration
- Advanced SQL scripting
- Understanding Webservices
- Configuration management
- Support of real time applications
- A passion for the work that you do
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong team working skills
- Understanding of the business and culture of Emergency Service organisations
- Ability to handle vendors and customers
- Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure
