ITS has a substantial and complex portfolio of services. It provides services to DTF, as well as knowledge and expertise to support and harness the possibilities of direction with Whole of Victorian Government (WoVG) in Information and Technology. Adopting the role of effective advisor, provider, and influencer of technology at DTF, ITS influences business planning, connects IT services across the services, provides a range of services, and is driving ahead with maturing IT to provide better integration of technology platforms to benefit all staff.
ITS also has key role to play in contributing to the planning and realization of major transformational programs, especially within its operations portfolio, but also more broadly in support of the DTF Strategic Plan as well as the WoVG ICT Strategic Plan.
About the role
The Business Analyst will provide analysis through elicitation and documentation of business requirements, mapping of As-Is and To-Be processes and supporting the team through implementation and change management activities.
Key accountabilities -
- Document current and future business processes within the Information and Technology functions, informed by ITIL processes and practices and map transition activities and map transition activities
- Provide support to the program team as required throughout the life of the program
- Liaise with stakeholders and maintain relationships at an appropriate level and under direction, manage stakeholder expectations
- Produce high quality documentation as required
- Actively participating in the program addressing key group/divisional/team issues
- Deliver high quality work on time with a professional attitude and help foster a culture of excellence, responsiveness, and flexibility.
About you
To be successful in this role, candidates will have experience in the following areas:
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst/ Process analyst.
- Experience in mapping As-Is and To-Be processes.
- Significant experience in business process improvement methodologies such as Lean/Six Sigma
- Demonstrated understanding of ITIL v4 (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) practices and processes
- Experience dealing with diverse stakeholders, both technical and non-technical
