Due to exciting growth of the business, QinetiQ are recruiting a Business Analyst to work across the business to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate requirements and business impacts to deliver enhanced IT solutions and business change implementation. We are flexible on location, this position can be based out of SA/ACT or VIC.
As part of QinetiQ’s IT group, you will play a key role in managing stakeholders, facilitating workshops and communicating with vendors and suppliers.
As Business Analyst you will be accountable for:
- Leading and facilitating discovery workshops and interviews to elicit and validate business and technology requirements, processes and workflows
- Creating and maintaining up to date documentation and traceability between requirements and implemented solutions throughout project lifecycles
- Participating in analysis and design workshops to develop detailed user cases and user stories
- Developing business cases, feasibility reports and cost/benefit analysis for solutions and proposals for project funding
- Undertaking business and technology impact assessments to define stakeholder needs, objectives, challenges and risks
- Contributing to and guiding positive change implementation
- Developing and maintaining working relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams and external vendors and suppliers
To be successful in the role of Business Analyst you will need to bring with you:
- Solid experience of working in a Business Analyst role within major business change and transformation projects
- Excellent business impact, risk and gap analysis skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications for documentation and presentation purposes
- Experience in As-Is and To-Be Business Process modelling using industry standard tools and techniques
- Experience in progressing business change with process improvement and quality assurance
- Excellent skills in requirements gathering and documentation, including writing user stories and acceptance criteria
- High level of analytical and organisational skills with good attention to detail and ability to think laterally and conceptually
- Strong knowledge of enterprise systems, integrations and development platforms
- Fundamental understanding of ITIL principles
Whilst not essential, a tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
Candidates will need to be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
