About the role:

We have a permanent opportunity for a Business Architect to join the Transformation Office. In this role you will have more opportunities to partner with colleagues in different functions. More people experiencing your work. Access to a wider range of perspectives and thinking.

As a Business Architect at Water Corporation, you’ll work across 8 different groups including Operations, Finance, IT, Strategy and Planning, and Growth. If anything, you’ll broaden your perspectives and expand your expertise with a whole-of-Business Architecture position.

It won’t be short of challenges and difficult problems to solve, but you’ll have the full support and backing from executive from day one. This is a role and a team that is unparalleled in terms of Executive visibility.

And you won’t have to schedule 1-to-1s and performance meetings because you’ll have zero-line management responsibilities. See this as an opportunity to free up your time and focus on deepening your knowledge and expertise.

What the role will involve, and your key experiences: 

Firstly, this isn’t an architecture role within IT. Instead, yours will be a critical role as part of the Transformation Office, with whole-of-business responsibility to help drive a transformation portfolio of work that forms part of a 12-year enterprise strategy. Although, you’ll work closely with the IT group who own and manage the technology that’ll underpin this.

You’ll work in a deeply knowledgeable transformation team who have built a Target Operating Model, a prioritised Transformation Roadmap and are providing the critical links between strategy and action that’ll ensure a 4,000-person organisation reaches its intended goal. Your familiarity with Business Analysis, designing and managing TOMs, Business Architecture blueprints and capability models (possibly from your consulting background) will be highly sought after.

This is also a development opportunity for up and coming Business Analysts with transferable skills looking to move into Business Architecture; with alternative salary levels on offer.
