The Role
The Principal IT Architect/Lead Business Analyst is responsible for designing, developing and implementing enterprise-level systems. This position aligns solution recommendations and implementation with the Town’s ICT Strategic Plan and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) roadmap. They ensure the technical fit of ERP solutions within the business and that best practice solutions are implemented.
A deep understanding of the Town’s ERP software architecture or similar system is critical for the role. This position maps, defines and standardise technology, data and business processes for effective and efficient solutions to be delivered to the Town. They work collaboratively with all IT team members and other stakeholders within the Town. Additionally, they are also required to work collaboratively with external stakeholders, including the Town’s Managed Service Providers.
This position a full-time maximum-term position (12 months).
Selection Criteria
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of TechnologyOne ERP system or similar.
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, systems integration, and system architecture principles.
- Ability to lead and manage a small team to achieve successful outcomes.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated high level of written communications skills, with the ability to concisely capture and present information for various types of audiences (technical or non-technical audience).
- Well-developed organisational skills to manage competing priorities and business needs.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Completion of an IT/IS/Computer Science/Software Engineering degree or an equivalent of relevant experience and/or education/training.
