About the team

Coles Express has recently been acquired by Viva Energy Retail, Australia's largest single branded convenience and retail network.

Viva Energy Retail is a mobility and convenience division of Viva Energy Australia with a high-quality national network of fuel and convenience stores located in metro, regional and on main transport routes, and provides an advantaged position to serve the on-road and local suburban convenience markets.

About the role

We currently have an opportunity for a Business Category Coordinator to join the Merchandise team within Viva Energy Retail (VER) in a full-time fixed term contract ending in July 2025.

Reporting to the Business Category Coordinator Team Lead and supporting the broader Merchandise team, your time will be spent ensuring master data management and resolution of store, merchandise and marketing queries.

On a day to day basis you'll ensure all new lines and master data elements are loaded into the relevant enterprise system accurately, supporting our data integrity.

You'll also:

• manage ad hoc category administration projects
• enter and maintain our promotional program, scan deal, cost and sell changes and other item maintenance requests
• manage administration duties in the portfolio including internal category marketing materials (like catalogue), clearance requests and data integrity investigations
• work collaboratively with our supplies to manage launch of new products, speed to market, supplier product images and various account related queries.

About you and your skills

We are looking for a passionate team member with extensive experience in data entry, business analytics and knowledge of merchandise processes.

You'll also have:

• a strong customer service and administration background
• a commercial mindset and ability to think laterally
• a proactive nature which drives you to go above and beyond to get the job done
• high attention to detail in everything that you do
• the ability to support the team in the smooth administration of the category
• strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• an analytical mindset and be efficient in working with a volume of data reports
