The Opportunity
Our Business Development team is growing and is looking for a detail-orientated, results-driven Analyst to join their team. The purpose of the Business Develop Analyst role is to provide data-driven insights, analysis & and recommendations regarding opportunities regarding changes to the portfolio, supplier mix, and commercial terms.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and regularly update the Business Case template to reflect accurate costs, business rules, and changing external factors (e.g. TGA/PBS changes) and ensure other stakeholders know how to use it correctly.
- With the assistance of BD team members, the relevant marketing teams and other key internal stakeholders, build accurate business cases using the template that reflects an accurate picture of the financial outlook of the project under evaluation for all potential projects.
- Assist in making recommendations to the General Manager – Business Development of the most appropriate business case to present for approval, justifying your recommendations based on both commercial and other key factors.
- Keep accurate records of the presentations, and the business case templates used to build those presentations, in easy-to-read formats, and easy-to-reach locations.
- Maintain and upload new molecules/projects that need to be assessed for potential launch (patent expiry, gap lines, biologics, special projects) in Track Via
- Assist BD members with any questions and uploading of data in Track Via (offers, supplier details, product specifics data)
- Track and make recommendations on which projects can progress to the next stage.

- Key Skills and Requirements
Understanding of the prescription medicine landscape with a focus on the PBS landscape. - Advanced understanding of information and content management principles.
- Knowledge of analytical systems and applications.
- Strong deductive reasoning skills, using reason and logic to come to conclusions, validate information and make informed decisions about a situation.
- Ability to clearly present analysis and solutions.
- Strong influencing skills, with the ability to provide direction, motivate, and engage others in the achievement of goals.

- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Forms, etc.

- Well-developed and proven organizational skills with an ability to balance and prioritise a variety of tasks and competing demands to manage workflows.
- Effective time management skills to determine the appropriate allocation of time to tasks and duties, ensuring timely completion, meeting critical time frames, and efficient use of time.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills, with the ability to pivot concentration smoothly and entirely from one activity to another.
