Position Overview:
The Business Development, Events and Fundraising Manager is a customer and community facing role that will drive, diversify and retain the company's fundraising and events net revenue and lead the company's engagement with the Hunter community.
The position will lead in the delivery of the strategic and tactical goals of fundraising, bequests and donor creation programs, grants, fundraising Events and campaigns.

Key responsibilities include:
- Development of new fundraising proposals
- Manage, retain and develop new business across existing fundraising sessions in association with registered clubs across the region
- Preparation of grant applications (where applicable)
- Complete organisation and management of fundraising events from confirmation to post event review
- Attend networking and community events to retain/increase community engagement
- Regular reporting to the Board of Directors
- Assist in the maintenance of key client/contacts database
- Active involvement in business planning, budgeting and similar activities
- Assist in the management and administration of other areas of the company's business including our on-site tenants, staff, suppliers and other stakeholders
Qualifications / Experience / Skills:
- Qualifications and demonstrated experience in events, fundraising, Business Development or similar with a proven record of success
- Strong customer/client service and engagement with ability to initiate contact and establish rapport
- Good team player who contributes to and assists co-workers without being asked
- Initiative to work unsupervised and be self motivated
- Take responsibility to ensure all required tasks are completed accurately and within given time frames
