Joining Fire Equipment Services (FES is a FRV subsidiary) gives you the authority of a selling fire safety services for one of Victoria’s most revered corporate citizens.
About the role
As our newest Business Development Executive (BDE) you’ll be based in Blackburn and your territory is Sth/Sth West /Sth East across to Ballarat/ Bendigo where you will develop and increase new business for (FES).
Focusing on building a client base and servicing their safety requirements with a commitment to compliance and safety protocols.
As a seasoned BDE you are adept at quoting, proposal writing ang tender responses to generate new business. To achieve this the team is there to support you and your onboarding will including time with our tech team too.
Functional accountabilities include:
- Creating and maintaining a “live” client pipeline
- Achieve set quarterly and annual sales targets
- Develop leads and build long term relationships with high volume clients and organisations
- Participate in corporate programs, exhibits, webinars and panels
- Manage and build a geographic sales territory
- Working with FES technical contractors to support your clients
About you
The successful applicant will have:
- Knowledge of safety standards and accreditation
- Proven experience and success in sales (ideally in the Fire Protection or similar)
- Success in achieving and exceeding sales budgets
- Experience in tender submissions, including within vendor panels, networking high end client base;
- Excellent skills using the full MS suite 365 (Word, Excel)
- You will manage your client portfolio to ensure record of activity

Fire Equipment Services (FES) is the trading name and commercial division of Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) and supports FRV strategic outcomes by ‘enhancing community capability to prevent & respond to fire and other emergencies’ and ‘improving fire and essential safety measures in the built environment’.
