About the role
As a Business Development Manager - Aviation, you will develop new business opportunities within the Aviation Domain through research, analysis and stakeholder engagement.
You will work with the broader Babcock business to develop solutions that meet customer needs and aligned to Babcock's strategic goals and objectives.
You will be responsible for ensuring the Aviation domain has the appropriate blend of Business Development capability to capture those prioritised opportunities. This will be achieved by your insight, relationships, knowledge and experience that will help generate, pursue, and deliver business growth through managing relationships with new and existing clients.
About you
You will have significant experience in the Special Mission Aviation sector (rotary wing or fixed wing), in Government and/or Defence, with a good network of contacts, an understanding of key stakeholders, customer strategies, and their overall future trajectory.
Having demonstrable experience in developing solutions and opportunity management, will make us competitive with winning price and strategy development.
You have a growth mindset and are passionate about what you do. Whilst we always hire for attitude and provide training and mentoring to our staff - a level of acumen and experience in Business Development and/or Capture Management is needed.
A hunger for success, with innovative thinking will see you creating value and developing solutions that stand out from the crowd. This along with your strong communication and negotiation skills, will see you successful in role.
While the location of the role is flexible, preference would be given to Adelaide or Canberra based applicants.
