Financia is an award-winning Mortgage & Finance Broking business located in the chic area of Kent Town, Adelaide. We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven person to join our team in supporting our Mortgage & Finance Brokers in a Business Development Management / Credit Coaching role. Leverage your lending, banking and finance experience to educate and assist Financia’s Brokers in workshopping deals, loan writing activities, negotiations, sales, managing referral relationships, achieving set targets and more.
About the role:
The role of the Business Development Manager/Credit Coach is suited to a highly motivated and dynamic individual who thrives working with a team and who is a sound problem solver, passionate about successful outcomes and can execute decision making. The position primarily focuses on providing dedicated support to our Broking team by workshopping files, assisting in closing deals and managing performance-related activities. The ideal candidate will possess experience in the banking and finance industry, have a thorough understanding of lending policies and hold exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to drive results. Additionally, any prior leadership/management experience and/or demonstrated leadership qualities will be favourably viewed.
Key Responsibilities:
- File workshopping and Deal Closure: Assist the Brokers in working through client files/scenarios to deliver the best outcomes in securing finance on the best terms whilst aiding with the closing of deals.
- Lender policies: Possess and/or develop a comprehensive understanding of all lender policies, servicing calculators, valuation processes, pricing tools and other.
- Performance management: Monitor and evaluate Broker performance, provide guidance and feedback, coaching and support to drive continuous improvement in individual NPS (Net Promoter Score), compliance and achieving set financial targets.
- Assistance with business generation: Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for Business Development, assist in generating leads and nurturing existing referral partnerships.
- Client Relationship Management: Lead the Broking team with strategies on building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met, expectations are exceeded and contact maintained.
- Strategic thinking: Utilise lateral thinking skills to identify innovative solutions, streamline processes and enhance the efficiency of client interactions and deal closures.
- Effective communication: Communicate confidently and persuasively with colleagues, referral partners, clients and lenders where required, whether face-to-face or over the phone to drive successful outcomes.
Qualification and skills:
- Prior experience in either mortgage broking, lending and/or the banking and finance industry is essential.
- Strong understanding of lender policies, loan writing activities, and mortgage / banking and finance industry practices.
- Proven track record of being results-driven, proactive, and adept at problem-solving.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
- Leadership qualities and/or prior management experience, including the ability to mentor, motivate and inspire team members.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail accuracy.
