Your job is just one part of your life. When you bring your ideas, energy, and hunger for growth to us, you'll be recognised and rewarded for your contribution in return. You'll have our support to excel for our customers, deliver positive change for our communities and grow your career.

It's a good time to see what more you can find at NAB as a Business Direct Advisor.

The role

As a Business Direct Advisor supporting our business customers, you will be providing customers with exceptional first contact service resolution as well as educating customers about the digital options available. As the first point of contact for these customers, you will be supporting them through their day-to-day banking needs and helping them grow their passion in to a successful, thriving business.

So, what's your main goal as a Business Direct Advisor? To provide an exceptional, professional, personable experience to our valued customers every single time they call - and we believe that you can only do this by bringing your unique personality to every call.

A typical day for you involves:

  • Taking calls from all segments of Business customers and resolving their initial query
  • Building rapport and credibility and remaining present with the individual that I am talking to
  • Clearly articulating the digital options available for customers through Internet Banking desktop or mobile applications
  • Actively participating and contributing to the daily operating rhythm including skilling, reporting and servicing standards
  • Actively seeking opportunities to improve on current processes
  • Actively participating in professional development, 1:1 performance management and coaching sessions with my Team Lead to improve performance

What you will bring

To become a successful banker in our Inbound Business Servicing team you will have a can-do attitude and enjoy working as part of a team where your individual performance contributes to the team's success. Your quick thinking and problem-solving abilities, coupled with your passion for customers, will see you develop and thrive, and build a successful career in banking.

We ask that you:

  • Have excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • Have a desire to continuously develop and challenge yourself
  • Thrive in a high energy, supportive team environment

This role may be based in Melbourne CBD or Knox (your preference). In the first 3 months, training will take place in either location, Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. Following this you will be working on a rotating roster across our opening hours of Monday - Friday (8am - 8pm).

This role will require you to be onsite to truly reach your potential as a Business Direct Adviser as we support you with a robust training program and onsite leader and SME support. The opportunity to work a hybrid model will be considered in consultation with your leader once role competency is consistently met.
