As a Business Improvement and Integration Leader some of your responsibilities will include:

  • The purpose of the role is to work across all areas and branches within Smart Service, as well as potentially with Partner Agencies and key Disaster Stakeholders on examination, assessment and understanding of current pain points within the Disaster Service delivery Stages at Smart Service, from Disaster preparation, service delivery in a Disaster event and the following Community Recovery services and prioritise and drive the actions required to overcome the pain points discovered.
  • Focus will also be upon the way that Government communicates updates to Queenslanders in a timely manner during a Disaster and by the citizens channel of choice. The Leader Business Improvement & Integrations will consider how new technology present new opportunity to change internal processes as well as way of communication information.
  • Understand and increase expertise in new technology and identify where benefits for citizens and Government may be reaslied, for the way that Smart Service deliver service, as well as the way Smart Services delivers push (one way) communication to citizens in a Disaster event.
  • On the activation of a Disaster Event, the Leader Business Improvement and Integrations and Coordination will be required to support Smart Service in an operational capacity; this may include providing support to frontline staff, assisting the Partner Engagement Team or stepping into a role defined by the Smart Service Disaster Management Team (DMT).
The Business Improvement and Integration and Team Leader plays a pivotal role in driving business process improvements and seamless integrations across the unit. They lead and focus on identifying opportunities for enhancements and coordinating efforts for effective integration strategies.
