About the Position

The Community Safety Business Unit deliver contemporary, highly visible and responsive community safety services to create a safer community.

This role is key to delivering innovation for our teams to equip them to be intelligence driven and efficient in our service delivery, whilst building internal capability and a continuous improvement mindset.

This full-time position is maximum term until 31 December 2024 with possibility of extension beyond this date.

Key Responsibilities

The duties of the Business Improvement Specialist will include but are not limited to:

• Driving and advocating proactive change, developing and improving organisational capability to embed service excellence.
• Developing, implementing, and updating a holistic business continuous improvement program across all Community Safety functions to allow regular review of processes.
• Conducting research, writing high level reports, and delivering presentations to senior management.
• Facilitating and managing Business Improvement related events, workshops, and programs across the teams.
• Adopting the use of DMAIC problem solving methodologies and tools to undertake root cause problem-solving analysis and presenting recommendations to the Manager Community Safety.

About You

• Relevant tertiary qualification in project management, Business Improvement or equivalent.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
• Experience managing projects and delivering strategic outcomes
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a solution-focused approach
• Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy

This maximum-term full-time position is a Level 8 Inside Workforce Agreement position, which attracts a salary from $103,131.93 – 108,559.10 per annum plus superannuation.

To be eligible to work for us, you need to provide, or have ability obtain a:

• Australian Driver’s Licence.
• National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months).
• Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance.
• The right to work in Australia.
