Collaborating closely with the Superintendent: Business Improvement, you will play a pivotal role as a key contributor, actively supporting the growth of the Business Improvement program. In addition, you will serve as an alternate representative, undertaking responsibilities for duties within the site leadership team.
With a specific focus on optimising outcomes across the entire value chain, your expertise will be crucial to supporting strategic alignment.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitation of Business Improvement Initiatives: Oversee and facilitate a portfolio of Business Improvement initiatives and projects, ensuring their successful implementation and contribution to organisational growth.
- Training and Coaching: Deliver comprehensive training and coaching sessions focused on problem-solving methodologies and tools, empowering team members with valuable skills for continuous improvement.
- Operational Value Chain Engagement: Collaborate with site teams across the entire operational value chain, promoting engagement in value-added solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Initiative Leadership: Take the lead in specific improvement initiatives and actively support the Change Leader program.
- Management Operating System (MOS) Support: Provide support to the Management Operating System, ensuring adherence to required standards and promoting a streamlined approach to operational management.
- Analysis and Reporting Integrity: Uphold the highest standards of integrity in the analysis and reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of information to support decision-making at all levels.
About you:
- Formal tertiary qualifications in business, technical, or commerce, or relevant trade certifications, or extensive mining experience.
- Previous senior-level role in the mining sector.
- Formal certification in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodology.
- Successful track record in delivering improvement projects.
- Project management experience.
- Understanding of Change Management applications.
- Proven ability to train, coach, and facilitate teams.
- Strong analytical and systems knowledge.
