About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Maritime Sustainment Function based at Henderson, reporting to the Asset Optimisation Lead.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and/ or hybrid working.
You will be responsible for supporting the sustainment of the Anzac Class Ships and Support systems. The BIA is responsible for coordinating Strategic Supply Chain initiatives, as well as identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carry out data processing (Extraction, Transformation and Load) activities, modelling, statistical analysis and reporting functions
- Contribute to the ongoing development, implementation, verification and validation of data sets that are generated in support of Asset Management and Strategic Supply Chain initiatives
- Drive and participate in continuous improvement initiatives associated with the Team and the WAMA enterprise, which include but not limited to, liaising with Defence stakeholders, such as Defence Digital Group and Army Data Hub, to lay the foundations, for the use of new tools
- Build reports and dashboards (Power BI)
- Maintain and/or upgrade current tool set (SharePoint, Excel, Access)
- Investigate issue reports
About YOU
- Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and improve processes
- Experience in writing computer scripts in VBA or similar is desirable
- A background in mining/ logistics is considered desirable
- A relevant tertiary qualification in a STEM discipline is considered necessary
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain NV1 Clearance
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
