Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Service, Finance are looking for a Business Manager to join their team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide expert, timely and pro-active advice on all business management issues to support the operational and strategic activities of the allocated units across Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Service. This role will enhance the financial, human resource and business capability of the respective units, through the initiation and evaluation of innovative proposals that will position the units for future progress.

About the Role
- Provide monthly reporting and comprehensive analysis of the Unit's performance in terms of expenditure, FTE, and activity, identifying and explaining any relevant variances. Assist in the development of strategies to manage variances.
- Development of the Business Unit's budget allocation in consultation with the Finance Manager.
- Comply with and utilise procedures, organisational policies, regulations and standards, which impact on the position, including contemporary human resource management issues, or workplace health and safety, employment equity and anti-discrimination.
- Provide advice regarding the Unit's business with outside entities, including services agreements with other units/facilities and Local Health and Hospital Networks and agreements and manage charges to and from organisations external to Metro South Hospital and Health Service.
