The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Business Operations & Partnerships Manager to be part of our South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI) within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.
The primary purpose of the Manager Business Operations and Partnerships role is to provide high level support to the General Manager, Research Support, as well as other members of the SARDI senior leadership team on complex matters relating to business strategy, compliance, and strategic partnerships.
The role will formulate strategies relating to the divisions business objectives, develop frameworks and lead the management of business services, ensuring alignment with statutory requirements, relevant legislation, and the departments key outcomes.
The role will ensure high standards of governance relating to business systems and processes. This includes but is not limited to human resource management, finance, procurement, work health and safety and the coordination of the Research Integrity Framework and Research Investment Framework. The role will also coordinate responses relating to Corporate and Operational requests as directed by the General Manager, Research Support.
The role contributes to delivering the agency’s including:
- Effective working relationships with key stakeholders are established and maintained including consultation and liaison with relevant PIRSA staff, industry and the community.
- Develop, implementation and maintenance of the SARDI Research Investment Framework
- Responsible for SARDI’s Research Integrity Framework and coordination of training in consultation with the Designated Officer.
- Coordinating the processes and engagement of strategic partnerships with industry, educational institutions, and a range of stakeholders
- Provide assistance and advice where required to SARDI staff on contractual, commercialisation and intellectual property matters.
- Facilitates and coordinates responses in relation to corporate requests and reviews as directed by the General Manager, Research Support.
- Represents SARDI on working groups, as directed by the General Manager, Research Support.
- Delivery of the Safety in Science Action Plan
