Job description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Initiate new business opportunities in Offshore Wind (markets and projects), followed by coordination of assessment/rationale (involving Market Development team (incl. Government Affairs & Regulatory), Commercial, Technical, HR, Legal, Finance/Tax), ultimately leading to recommendations and if approved, execution.
- Manage / accountable for reporting and budgeting, which falls under the leadership of the Country Manager
- Project manage the annual budgeting of markets, quarterly re-forecast, quarterly capital call to our sponsor
- Report / communicate on a regular basis to the senior management team / board by different means (calls, power point presentations, etc.) on critical activities happening in the region / markets to ensure smooth decision making
- Support the management of the various markets or business opportunities/projects in Offshore Wind development, under the leadership of the Vice President Asia-Pacific:
- Lead the delivery of the regional commercial and market development work streams in close collaboration with the various central functions, which are:
- On the Market Development side:
- Government & Regulatory Affairs
- Communications/PR
- Environmental and consents
- Global stakeholder engagement
- On the Commercial side:
- M&A and Partnerships
- Valuation / Business Case
- Procurement
- Revenues
- Project Financing
- Manage the definition of the project development strategy, under the leadership of the Vice President Asia-Pacific, with the support of the Commercial & Market Development teams, the assigned Technical Project Manager (TPM) and the Country Manager. Support the Country Manager, in close collaboration with the various central functions in Europe, in the implementation of the project development strategy including via the procurement/RfPs (Request for Proposal) of relevant service providers.
- In close collaboration with the assigned Technical Project Manager (TPM), ensure delivery of technical work streams on budget. The Business Project Manager would ensure the technical aspects of project/market development are managed according to plan (on time / on budget).
- Participate to the site selection process
- Communicate closely with the TPM and the central team subject matter experts in the evaluation and communications to grid transmission companies, suppliers, consultants and other contractors
- Assist with analysis, review and negotiation of key project agreements
- In the case of tenders, play a critical role in the delivery of such tenders (seabed auctions and off take), joining a tender-dedicated team, under the leadership of the Country Manager who is ultimately responsible for the final delivery of such tender
- Generally collaborate with broad internal colleagues on all matters as described above
- Maintain and develop networks of high level stakeholders/decision makers, potential development partners, suppliers, other authorities (such as ports, grid), consultants, etc.
- Represent company in the public forum, including conferences, workshops, government requests for information, etc.
