Business Services Senior Accountant - Part Time

This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established boutique accounting practice, located in Rockdale.

They work with some of Australia's most dynamic privately owned businesses and SMEs across a diverse range of industries.

This is a part-time role (ideally 3 or 4 days per week) with hybrid working arrangements and can move to full time in future if required.

As a Senior Accountant within the Business Services team, you will be exposed to excellent training, assigned a mentor, and provided with all the tools to develop into an all-round Business Advisor. You will also be exposed to some of the firm's largest clients and advisory work from day one.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Preparing income tax returns and special purpose financial reports for a wide variety of clients
• Assist in researching and preparing practical written advice
• Liaising with the ATO including preparation of general correspondence in relation to income tax, PAYG & GST matters
• Ensuring that jobs are completed efficiently and effectively as directed
• Assisting clients with ad-hoc enquiries in a timely fashion
• Effective communication with Partners, Managers, and peers
• Mentoring and managing graduates and junior accountants.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required:

• 3+ years’ experience in a similar practice (in Australia)
• Working towards or completed CA/CPA
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Strong commercial acumen
• Efficient time management skills, highly dependable and thrives as part of a team.
