Our opportunity

As Business Solutions Specialist, you will work with a team of multi-discipline professionals which support a number of integrated systems utilised by the corporate, development and construction businesses. The role reports directly to the Group Manager - Business Support CoE, and will have substantial interaction with teams from Digital, Group Advisory Services (GAS) and the Development & Construction business as well as Investments in the near future. In conjunction with the rest of the team, this role will play a key part in establishing the function and helping refine the scope of services provided to the broader business and how these will be delivered, including managing a robust system governance framework for Yardi through servicing various finance teams in developing solutions together with the Mirvac Finance Platform team and ensuring the quality of system design, operations and processes are maintained and improved.

In this role you will:

  • Provide support to all users of Yardi whilst protecting and enhancing the design principles of the system and assisting to realize the benefits and synergies of a single platform.
  • Regular engagement with business users to identify pain points, gather business requirements, continuous improvement opportunities, rapidly resolve issues and to support driving adoption
  • Ensuring compliance with operational and financial controls across relevant systems through periodic system reviews (e.g. audits, training, identifying control automation opportunities) including for Chart of accounts, entities, hierarchies, consolidation configuration and security access
  • Establish a strong system data governance framework and ensure this is maintained and adhered to, ensure appropriate documentation in place
  • Assist in the deployment of system upgrades, impact assessment, perform UAT and system releases from Yardi.
  • Ensure source data is accurate and integrating as expected, including reconciliation of data across systems for the respective end-to-end process
  • To preserve the Yardi protocols for projects and ad hoc requests.
  • Facilitate accurate create / modification of master data, user access, including review and regular audit
  • Facilitate training, partnering with the business (training material preparation, training delivery, identification of training needs, identification of business stakeholders to support / contribute)
Your point of difference
  • Prior experience in finance, commercial, contract administration, operations, system support or IT business analyst areas
  • Experience as a respected business partner with a demonstrable ability to partner with a diverse stakeholder group in both group and operational business functions
  • Demonstrated experience of driving continuous improvement initiatives and operating as part of a cross functional team
  • Thorough understanding and experience using Yardi in a large organisation
  • Ability to effectively translate and problem solve accounting and business requirements to ERP capabilities to achieve desired result
  • Detailed knowledge of end to end processes, including how they cut across functions and systems, with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Commercial acumen, with an understanding of how operational and financial processes interact to meet Mirvac's objectives
  • Extensive, detailed knowledge of the system processes and data flows; ideally bring experience previously implementing / delivering continuous improvement of in-scope systems
  • Exemplary analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • SQL knowledge preferable
