Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation is looking for a'¯Business Support Manager who will'¯assist the Population and Primary Health Centre Manager (PPHCM) in operational business management tasks including maximising Medicare PIPS processing and registration, oversight of patient travel and asset management including fleet. This is a full-time position based in Milingimbi, Northern Territory. Competitive salary between $103,862 - $116,069'¯per annum.

Established in 1992, we’re committed to securing quality health care services across the East Arnhem and enabling YolÅ‹u powered community health and wellbeing. Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care to over 6,000 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents across 3 East Arnhem wards. With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, Miwatj also manages a Corporate Office in Darwin, 7 fixed clinics across the East Arnhem region.

Essential Requirements

The Business Support Manager will lead team members and empower the non-clinical staff in their roles through mentoring, coaching and operational support. This role will coordinate patient travel, deliver administrative and client services, including checking patients into the clinic. Candidates must have experience managing teams and office managment; and will also have an understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal Community Control, self-determination, and the issues faced by Yolŋu people living in remote settings.
