Join a dynamic SA Government department as a Business Support Officer IP&S and play a vital role in coordinating and managing the administrative duties for the Senior Manager IP&S and Business Unit Leadership team. About the role: In this essential role, you will be responsible for the seamless operation of administrative tasks, supporting the Senior Manager IP&S and the Business Unit Leadership team to ensure efficient and effective business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety First:

    • Apply WHS Roles and Responsibilities Procedure.
    • Ensure personal and team safety and wellbeing.
  • Team Contribution:

    • Implement directions from the Senior Manager IP&S.
    • Complete allocated tasks.
    • Collaborate to achieve team goals, contributing to decision making and problem solving.
    • Drive customer outcomes within the team.
    • Enable efficient operations of the IP&S Leadership Team.
  • Business Support:

    • Manage email and diary for the Senior Manager IP&S and leadership team.
    • Monitor workflow, prioritise tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
    • Screen calls and emails to minimise interruptions.
    • Coordinate and submit SLT, Board, and Committee papers.
    • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, managing correspondence and enquiries.
  • Support Services to Business Unit Management:

    • Coordinate and take minutes for IP&S Leadership management meetings.
    • Manage actions from management meetings.
    • Produce reports, correspondence, presentations, and spreadsheets.
    • Identify and implement improvements in administrative processes.

About You:

  • Qualifications and Experience:
    • Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Exceptional organisational skills for managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with initiative, autonomy, and judgement.
