Your role
In this role you will lead the management of DCJ asset information and systems, asset data including related management frameworks, guidelines, and associated practices in alignment with the NSW Government Information, and Infrastructure Data Management Frameworks.
What you’ll do
As the Business systems Analyst you will :
- Lead activities regarding the identification, collection, alignment, analysis, and continuous improvement of asset information, data and asset management practices to ensure accurate, complete, accessible and effective use of data by all stakeholders to support informed decision-making underpinning asset management decisions and planning functions.
- Actively source asset and financial data across DCJ contractors, business partners and relevant Government agencies and analyse for the purposes of developing fit for purpose reports, analytics and presentations identifying trends, risks and opportunities in strategic asset management planning.
- Manage and foster collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to develop a mutual understanding of asset management, and maturity uplift, to support service delivery and related outcomes.
- Maintain awareness of issues, insights, challenges, opportunities and industry trends and practices to recommend innovative solutions that optimise outcomes, contribute to best practice and meet government objectives regarding asset management frameworks and systems.
- Ensure that asset management policy and standards are consistently considered and applied to the development of analytics and reporting to senior executives and management.
- Delivering quality service and outputs within requested timeframes whilst working independently.
- Implementing a strategic approach to asset management activities while requiring input and information from multiple stakeholders with competing priorities across a diverse agency.
- Creating clarity when confronted with complexity, ambiguity and constraints which is sometimes in conflict with each other.
What we’re looking for
An experienced analyst who is motivated by outcomes and building strong relationships. To be considered for this role, your background and experience must meet the following criteria :
- An understanding to the application of the Asset Management Landscape, the Global Forum on Maintenance and Asset Management and the various models developed by the Asset Management Council
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in the application of ISO5500X Standard series, with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Experience in the development of effective, simple to understand and well-designed process maps adaptable in day to day business activities
- Demonstrated experience in information and data management aligned to specified
- Strong capabilities in the development of informative reports and analytics from across multiple data sources and business areas
- Maintains independence to develop a suitable approach in managing work priorities, and ensuring continuous improvement in asset management practices underpinned with appropriate levels of cross business consulation
- A high level of responsibility for determining appropriate actions undertaken, within government and legislative policies, and for ensuring quality control in the implementation and delivery of work
- This role is fully accountable for the delivery of work assignments on time and to expectations in terms of quality, deliverables and outcomes
- Ability in setting own priorities, and those of any staff/project staff supervised, in alignment with management
