In this role, the successful applicant will support and improve all corporate Business Systems, with a key focus on the Technology One ERP solution. They will apply advanced professional expertise in system and process design and the implementation for software projects. They will also deliver high-end system and application configuration, administration, support, training, and process mapping services. The key responsibilities of this role:
Business system support, maintenance, and improvement
- Review and assess system and process issues, facilitating and evaluating solutions.
- Work with stakeholders to formulate, define and document solutions to enhance corporate systems, using best-practice methodologies and pre-configured ERP solutions.
- Review business requirements and deliver functional specifications, including hierarchy, business rules/workflow, interface implications, outstanding issues, data analysis, and relationships.
- Identify opportunities where technology can assist or enhance organisational business services, actively reviewing current systems, business processes, and workflows.
- Capture and analyse 'Current and Future state' system processes using approved methods.
- Understand and document customer business requirements and workflows, collaborate with developers on functional specifications, and test developed functionalities.
Asset Management Module
- Strategically oversee and improve the City’s Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system within the ERP.
- Oversee the implementation, support, and continuous improvement of the EAM.
- Analyse and optimise asset management processes to align with organisational goals.
- Develop and maintain documentation and training materials specific to the EAM.
- Work with asset management stakeholders to identify and implement best practices and enhancements.
- Ensure data integrity and quality within the EAM.
Change Management, System Testing, and Support
- Undertake change management tasks/issues for all systems, ensuring effective communication and implementation to the user base.
- Perform system testing for enhancements/upgrades and assist users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Develop and deliver high-quality test scenarios and test plans.
- Conduct initial process testing of core application changes using appropriate testing policies, processes, templates, tools, and standards.
- Provide comprehensive status, risk, and issues reporting.
- Deliver first-level end-user support for systems and their integrated components.
- Liaise with vendors of corporate systems for fixes/bugs/changes and general queries.
User Training, Documentation, and Collaboration
- Deliver training assistance to key users for new or improved functionality and provide ad-hoc one-on-one support as required.
- Coordinate and/or conduct user application training sessions.
- Develop, update, and maintain system and user documentation, including manuals, standard operating procedures, and technical guides for information systems staff, developers, administrators, and end-users.
- Assist and support users in developing and maintaining business-specific process documentation.
- Develop and maintain standard reporting within corporate systems and support/educate power users in the business.
- Work with SMEs (subject matter experts) and IS Business-as-Usual (BAU) team resources to resolve system and/or data quality issues.
- Work with development and production support teams to communicate, verify, and test functionality and configuration changes.
- Review system user roles and profiles, recommending changes/enhancements to the corporate systems security matrix.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification/industry accreditation or extensive relevant experience.
- Proficient in detailed business analysis, process mapping, and documentation.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to guide users in system usage.
- Substantial knowledge in data structures, technical relationships, and reporting requirements.
- High level skills in project management methodologies, techniques, and practices.
- Substantial experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting ERP solutions.
- Extensive experience in implementing modules in a Local Government system, preferably TechnologyOne.
- Prior experience working with Local Government Authorities.
- Extensive experience working with business stakeholders producing business process workflows.
- Experience translating business requirements into effective solution designs.
- Demonstrated experience in change management methodologies.
Demonstrated experience working with external vendors, consultants and other contractors.

Salary Range: $105,000 - $121,280 per annum plus 11% employer superannuation and additional co-contribution to your superannuation.
